Friday was my forty-first birthday. Though the weather was a bit sketchy, I had a lovely day. It began with yoga class, included some coffee and book time (Iyer's biography of HH the Dalai Lama, The Open Road), phone calls from my sisters, continued with an early performance of the San Francisco Symphony, dinner at Firefly (a veg/vegan-friendly French restaurant- amazing), and ended with me finishing off the Iyer book. It was a near-perfect day for me. I even managed to get a passable shot of the inside of the symphony hall before the "no photography" announcement was made.
