These look oh so much better that the vegan gingerbread hearts that I tried to make. Leaving out eggs and butter I'm afraid that the traditional Polish recipe turned into something that tasted like ginger-flavored cardboard, thought they were way more harder!!
I've been doing a lot of vegan baking lately, but I used real butter for the shortbread. Btw, I love lebkuchen, which I imagine is the German version of your Polish hearts. It should be soft, no?
